Yeah, the 10-series JR radios use codes for each menu; 83 is for Trim Rates. It determines how the servo moves/reacts to inputs. By reducing the rudder trim rate, you are actually limiting the amount of the signal the servo sees.
Some have said this greatly reduces the servo's response. I certainly have not seen it, and I've been doing this since Bill Meador figured it out back in 1996. It nearly eliminates drift with first-generation piezo gyros; even the Arca-Wag
Bosco, this is not a cure-all for poor set-up and/or crash damage. If the servo is moving hard over to one side, then something else is wrong. Either the piezo crystal in the gyro is cracked (and going hard over is a symptom of this), you have a servo pot going out, or it could be any of a number of other maladies.
