Move throttle to full. Plug batteries into controller and wait for a series of tones. Move throttle stick to low. It will now beep either once or twice. Once is gov. off, and twice is heli mode(gov. on). You can change it back if it's in the wrong mode by unplugging the batt from the controller and waiting five seconds and repeating this procedure. There should be no brake on the heli controller as far as I know. The default from miniature is gov. off. All other programing should be set appropriately out of the box as well. Hope this helps.
