The design has similarity to the Futura line. It does look unique, though

I'm hoping for something like a RTF Tempest, at a Hummingbird price, and R30 crash costs....

What do you reckon?

Agreed, that one looks like a deformed Logo 10!!! Needs better.

The canopy has a combination look of a raptor and futura canopy. I hope the final production canopy will have a more unique look.

oh brother... it's a canopy... how unique can it look ?? i'd rather have one of those than an other dead ugly caliber or rapter V1 canopy...

Rear mounted fuel tank, must have a forward facing motor. For alot of us that thought this machine would look alot like a Extreme, I guess we are in for a surprise.

I don't really like the "beak" on the canopy. The landing gear struts are a bit too straight as well IMHO

Ditto.

A closer look at the mainframe will be nice.
Kind of looks like the best ideas from a Fury put together with the best design theory's.
Notice where the fuel tank is? Ala Hirobo and Century as close to the mainshaft as possible.
I am betting when it is all done the CG on this thing will be just about perfect.

IMO the Canopy has to go.... It looks abreviated to me.
Hope it is just a concept design.

I like the rear tank design; it should minimize trim changes as fuel burns off.

I also hope the machine has the following

1. Mechanical CCPM (Probably won't happen)
2. Tail box that does not need red loctite to stay together.
3. Forward mounted tail servo,
4. Composite landing gear breakaway mounts (kind of like the R90) that are cheep to replace and do not sacrifice the frame as bad in a crash.
5. Metal head block
6. Plastic Grips
7. Adjustable dampening with a C-clip spindle
8. Adjustable Bell Hiller ratios
9. Stainless or Aluminum TT
10. No crown gear
11. Pre-set factory gear meshes
12. Parts that come in subassemblies with the screws, nuts, washers, and various hardware included (like Raptor parts come).
13. Quick and easy to assemble and maintain.

It will be really interesting to see what these two come up with!!!

MHF,

How can you say half raptor half X-cell from what you've seen in two black and white pics?? This heli has so many unique design features, that it cannot be lumped into a half this half that comparison. Granted its hard to reinvent the wheel, but this heli is truly an innovative design. Once Jason releases more pics, it will be easier to see.

You have two of the best pilots in the world working on this thing, with input from a group of people who have years and years of heli experience.... No limitations trying to make old parts work with new, he had a clean slate on this bad boy, and I can't wait to see it fly!

synergy---

all looks great---and all is so far speculation---even the cad drawing is really just to show something......id say based on the gossip/info---they areflying or near too flying-----but with each flight will come tweaks and/or design changes-----so i doubt it will be in production this year---tho hopefully this year there will be a few of them flying around for all to see!!!!
good luck and best wishes to Synergy!!!
