We are awlays trying to get better performance out of our helis. I am flying a zoom electric heli, and I read where people was changing the flybar paddles to do better 3D.Well I damn near lost my left eye a few minutes ago. I put a set of pic pro paddles on my zoom and was running it up to make sure they was. running right. One of the paddles flew off and nailed me in the bridge of the nose, and cutting my left eye lid. I tightned the screws as tight as I could get them and the paddles seemed tight. I don't know why it came off but it hurt like hell. Be careful guys, just like any heli this one can be dangerous too! I will be putting the stock paddles back on.

thats the exact reason why I will not use pic pro paddles, I have seen too many come flying off.

Just lighten the zoom paddles and call it good. You can even lengthen the flybar.

In the long run you'll find safety goggles better looking
than an eye patch. I plan to wear mine whenever I have
the heli's motor connected to power.

I always try to avoid hovering at eye level. A rotor part in the kneecaps or abdomen hurts pretty bad but it's not your eyes. If you must be at eye level with the heli(inspection etc.) use protective eyewear. I never shoot my gun without earplugs either. Guys please use appropriate personal
protection gear. Be safe! Have Fun!!!

I almost lost an eye due to a pellet gun incident. I was looking for things to shot at and found a rollerblade wheel lying on a bench. I took aim and shot at it only to have the pellet ricochet off the wheel and nail me right between the eyes. Left a cut/bruise that lasted for 2 weeks. Thank god I didn’t use the pellets with the tips on them....

This sounds like user error to me because you make no mention to using any CA on the paddles, which is what you have to do with the picollo paddles, it has been mentioned many times here before......

I don't think I am going to trust my eyes or any other body part for that matter to a drop of CA!!!! Nope not goin' do it !!! No Sir, I enjoy having both my eyes Hindsight is 20/20 unless your missing an eye.
