On the remote glow plug....

I hate the damn things

Was using one on my Raptor and the wires just keep breaking off, so I gave up. No biggie on the Raptor as the canopy just clips on and off so easily it isn't a problem to start her up, clip on the canopy and fly.

I prefer the Fury's layout with access directly to the plug from the rear.

Hope this canopy is easy to remove then

Synergy Seems to me like a Frankestain:

1.- Raptor / robble mild canopy
2.- Miniature Rotor Head
3.- Henseleit / X-Spec mild landing gear
4.- X-pec Hirobo / Caliber Kyosho Frames
5 .-Fury extreme tail rotor and hub
6.- Vigor CS low parts count

Maybe the best of the word..... lets see....
Could be the stronger point of each other....
I hope the point number 7 and 8 would be the price of a raptor 60 and fury tempest quality....

@PPLON

And don't forget the X shaped frame braces of the Dyna-X.

Foward facing engine

To CJW

have you tried a simple alligator clip ?

I broke 3 different design in less than 30 flights before switching to a simple alligator clip and after 250 flight it is still working

Ya and you can tell a lot from a renderd 3D drawing with no visable detail.

Didnt your mother ever tell you not to judge a book by its cover

I gotta say I was expecting something completely different, more along the lines of what a 3DNT is to most heli's, a LOT different than most. Granted the 3-D renderings don't show a lot, and it's probably going to be a great flying machine at any rate.

You may think whatever you want, the fact is that this heli get your interest !!

You are in USA, if you want your part of the pie go get it !

No heli design will satisfy the taste of everybody.

It think the first video will impress many of us

Congratulation Jason for pursuing your passion and dream

The Heli that impress me the most is the 3DNT that's why I thought it was boring,, same old set up like most copters. Why didn't they make something like the 3DNT but cheaper like the Raptor . and they could have used the tail system of the Tornado,, the tail rod rotates instead of push, that would be cool..Maybe they fly great but don't know how to build.

And the Canopy does look like a Pelican,,or if you prefer Jleno ha ha.

3D MP

Did you saw the last one from Henseleit ?
In my opinion it is even better because much simpler
however no push-pull on controls

I know that he is an excellent pilot, Maybe some one here know his other background. Anyways, when I look at others machines nobody follow good and accepted engineering standards as simple as having presse fit bearings on shaft. some manufacturers retain a bearing with metal crews. other do no use oblique contact ball bearing where much axial load are present (pinion gear for example) frying a bearing in less than 2000 hours is showing quite a big compromise between durability and performance (wanting something light) but I doubt that the guy who design is even aware of that. I think that he chose is bearing only for it dimensions and he doesn not have a clue of loadings involved.

All that to say that I think that this team should be able to come up with something that hold together after testing and trashing by Jason. This is a hobby not much professionnal engineer around to design our machines (hope curtis does not read here ;-) )

Anyway it is a reall fun hobby

Minature use to sell a thrust bearing for the main mast don't know if they still do,,but yes true thay should design thrust bearings for the main mast,,In any case Im desigining my own frames and canopy and will be very light,,Going to use the R30 guts, will post a pic when I'm done.

Some times I see some guys put everything on their Copters but the kitchen sink, any wonder why it keeps getting heavier and heavier then thay have to get a bigger and bigger engine.

And yes I did see the Henseleit very nice.

I hope they didn't copy the weakest link of the fury #5 there.

Yeah, I hear that, the Tempest FAI gearbox is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS TO BUILD!

Make it nice and simple, preferably an 'unenclosed' version like the one that was on Jason's Extreme just before he left.
