welp I was bored during my lunch hour so I decided to invent something that would be really usefull. I hate screwing with Pitch gauges,... and have not seen anyone put the gauge right on the head and grips....

So during my lunch break I designed a concept model and made a quick animation. both are in my gallery and all should check it out.

Basically I just have a head with the scale on it, and the blade grips would have a built in pointer. you could quickly at any time make pitch adjustments without setting up the pitch gauge.

Check it out and let me know if any of you think it's a good idea.

"I see" said the blind carpenter as he picked up his hammer and saw.

I believe the JR Ergo also has a built in pitch gauge using the same concept as yours.

It won't be accurate unless you have blades

Since blades can have a bit of pitch depending how they are built.

I think X-Cell even had a built-in guage near the collective arm as well.

pitch gauge

I believe this would work best with full symetrical blades. because with a full symetrical blade, if the grips are perfectly horizontal then you would be at 0 degrees pitch.. or at least it better be at zero degrees. :-)
I've never laid my hands on a JR ship so I have no idea about that...

but I plan on scribing a gauge on all my "plastic" heads & grips. sure it will take some carefull setup to get it accurate the first time. after that I think it would be of good use..

Sounds better than Thundertiger's idea with the raptor "pitch guage"

TT's gage is pointless.
