Thanks Ethan. I'm not a religious person myself, but I love the amazing variety of architecture we have here in the UK.

This thread is churning out some fantastic shots. Angelos, do you have any history for the churches in your pics?.

history

There isn't any history on this church since it's brand new. It is causing a little stir though. It's built in a new develpement in the same neighborhood as some houses that probably cost more money to build. It's basically looks like a warehouse on the outside with the exception of the cross in the front.

I wonder if that Culligan water guy in front is nervous, saw him at the water tower 30 minutes before here, he might think he's being watched

Little Brown Church in the Vale

The lighting could not have been more wrong for this shot but I didn't know if I would be passing by it again in June for the RVP task so we shot it the way it was. This church is too historical to pass up.

Over 70,000 weddings have been performed here since 1918. This church was popularized by a hym written about it before it even existed.

check Little Brown Church hymnal (watch your volume it plays the tune)

check www.littlebrownchurch.org for a complete history.

What I find kind of interesting is that there are several old abondoned houses on the opposite side of the road where we took off from, remnants of the town once known as Bradford, IA. Now theres only a church giftshop and motel in this town.

Freaking amazing shooting gentleman!

You all just made my day. I shot a local church several days ago, to get home and find 26 amazing shots, unfortunately the lense cover stuck partly open. All photos were just enough information to see how nice they "would have been"

Next time.

I needed to test-fly the Logo today - so I thought I'd take some pictures while I was at it.

This is a local church in the remote village of Tunstall right on the East coast of England. You can see the actual coastline in the background.

This is the 'nice' front shot:

Next, I just had to peek over the top of the tower ...

And finally I went right over the top and got the village hall in there as well ...

This church was built around 1100AD.

Who else flies solo for these pics?. I must say that those who do, and do not use any stability control system really get my respect. Looking in the glasses to frame the shot, and adjusting the camera angle takes quite a bit of concentration on it's own. Add to this the 'pucker' factor and my Logo would have been lost at sea without my control-system on board.

Thanks,

We donated this photo to the Church in the photo and they have produced 1000s of Christmas cards with it as a fund raiser.

Will be really great to be sending family and friends one of our own photos at the end of the year.

Doesn't look good on run ryder resolution, but this is actually a sharp picture. This church is scheduled for major addition. Was in local paper, standard ground shot. So I sent this photo to local paper with offer to do an aerial before and after. No reply yet.

Hey Julian,

Great shot. It looks very early in the morning - no footprints in the snow.

Did you take it on your way home from work ? .
