Just wondering what would be the better choice of engine for a camera ship would be, the 23cc or 26cc Zenoah, I have heard the 26cc version is more prone to vibration, so wondered if the 23cc engine would be more suitable. Thoughts ........suggestions?

I have taken about 400-500 pictures with a 260 motor with no problems from vibration using an airfoil mount. I have even taken in focus photos at sub 1/100th second that are clear. (it was getting dark!).
The vibration problems mentioned by others on this forum have not been a problem for me.

My friend brought his G260 powered gasser to the field. I myself run G231 and was intrigued by 26cc offering from Zenoah. I (very subjectively) compared vibrations from his engine by holding his and mine gasser tailbooms while they where sitting next to each other with engines at idle. It didn't feel any different to me.
It's just one more observation for you.

But there are many other variables to control in getting these engines to run right. I believe G260 is only incremental in power to G231 if everything else set up correctly. After all the power is simply proportional to the displaced volume which is barely 15% bigger.
And my friend did have few problems with his G260 already - starting from difficulty in carburator adjustments to piston/cylinder getting scortched twice. He is a very seasoned flier and I don't believe the problems that he had are related to him mishandling the engine.
