I am wondering what everyones thoughts are on the best downlink system. I will be shooting stills and some video. What are everyones thoughts regarding what kind of monitor to use on the ground to frame the shots (laptop, LCD panel, B&W monitor...????)

Any other suggestions??

Heli will be a 90 size electric and camera will most likely be a minolta A2.

Thanks for any input

Hi,

I have a Minolta D7,

I'm using 2.4 GHz downlink, 600mw from Black Widow. This is overkill (a lot less power is really all you need, probably 100mw is fine).

I use a small DC powered color TV to have my camera operator see what's going on.

Even a TV which is very bright is hard to see even when inside my car when the sun is shining brightly. So check to see how your monitor can be seen in bright sunlight, even when in the shade of inside your car.
