NICE!

We have used a million types of editing software and ended up staying with Microsoft digital Image pro 9.0 because most were just too ellaborate for what most people needed so far. Photoshop rocks though!

I'ts cool to be able to remove cars, telephone poles etc.. from the pictures! Ive been experimenting a bit with the transparency option to superimpose buildings etc into another picture. The hard part is the angleing of the buildings etc...

We like the smart erase tool quite a bit. We usually find that if we set up in a solid colored area (Center of Concrete a lawn etc) we can edit us out of the pictrure easily.

That is a difficult task to get it right. Keep on trying and you'll get it one day. BTW-the picture seems to be slightly out of focus.

A couple of suggestions.

Youll find generally, roofs dont appeal to many people who would be buying your pics.
Good for fun shots up high but not much use otherwise for selling purposes.
If its just for the taking of the shots to enjoy them then it doesnt matter where you shoot.
For sellers maybe do it a bit lower down.
Preferably low enough to get the subject in shot but not a whole lot else if its to sell.

On the PhotoShop work
In general, dont clone or touch up things in pics at looks pretty bad in most cases without some hrs at it and even then its not a natrual look.
For real estate pics be real carefull making adjustments, agents have been sued for selling properties using a retouched pics with some things removed.

PhotoShop is good for correcting the image so it appears the same in the image as the scene you shot, but Id leave it at that unless you have some specific purpose for adding effects.

Cheers

dear mpa
thnx for ur notices i ll keep them in mind.
as concern now the school pic. this building it's my family's bsns.
so the day i tried to take these pics the wather was bad...
so while i was trying to take some pics it started raining so i didn't had the time to shoot more pics. so we don't talk here for client&money!

as concern the touch-up in psd i just make some tests just to see the results not for money just plesure.

and as concern the real estate pics i have in my gallery the house above which is my girlfriends house. and these pics was taken just for a demo.

things that are concening me now is where to get a licence if there is a departement here in greece that gives the permision to shoot aerial pics cause noone here except me do this...
and bassically r/c helicams u don't find here except 2-3 people including me that do that just for hobby....

Yep, bad weather is a good time to stay low and avoid the sky and haze.

The pic you show of the house is a good example of the best use for PS.
You can get that grey haze out of the shot in PS if you reduce the curve in the midtones with a reduction in blue.

Things like that are what PS is best for, if a picture needs anymore than that its best to dump it than try to fake it up..

On the licence, see the Greek Aviation authority to find that out.
Id say from others experience you dont need one.

MPA - the best use of photoshop is when you use all it can offer, it's just a question of ability with the programme. What PS in the right hands can achieve is amazing, the biggest problem is people using it without the required skill, which takes many hundreds of hours to learn - a litle like flying ! You wouldn't say the best use for a x-spec was hovering just because more people could do it with greater success !
I would say though that the higher the resolution of an image for Photoshop the better as it's easier to retouch than a low res blurry image.
Don't mean to bite, but " the best use of PS" is not just using the curves !

Ashley, yes you are right, it does take a lot of time to learn it all.

If john was fully conversant with PS and had that experience I doubt Id be needing to make suggestions to him on how to use it, of you get my drift.

Better it looks a little flat than blatantly fake, particularly if you plan on selling the pics so in the case anyone doesnt know PS backwards my advice still holds on not doing more than simple image correction with it.

oops another missunderstanding....

i have to say that i work with ps about 10 yo now... and with other multimedia programs and i have this now running as my real job for 4 yo....
i could say that i m a pro... but the reason i posted this in runrider for u guys was not to see and judge my ps skills but mostly to explore how to proccess an aerial pic ''just for fun''...

For sure it's not a pro job and as i mentioned before dear mpa these pics was not for sale....

so pls do not judge it as a pro job but a a pic that i just tried to process for fun.
