is there any fix on a pitch slider the plastic one melted together with the pitch links today luckly was on the ground when it started to spin

will the alum slider from the eco 8 work has anyone tried it?

I had the same thing happen to me. It's a lousy design. The load bearing thrust surface is plastic to plastic and I'm surprised it works at all.

Precision Model Products used to list a cnc aluminum, ball bearing tail pitch slider but it's not shown on their website anymore. That's what I use now.

This website shows some modifications to the VE and one of them is a description of how to make your own ball bearing tail pitch slider. After looking at my PMP slider, it wouldn't really be that difficult I think.
