| hpaisthe passageways in the 677 body are not easily modified to provide the metering and flow needed. Sorry, Bud......no luck there. There IS an alternative to this, though......all the ancillary parts are the same between the two carbs, best we can tell. IF you found a 643 BODY, you could transfer the needles, plates, gaskets, etc. from the 677 onto it. Might be a "poor mans' fix" if the complete 643 carb assembly remains hard to get.
