Look at the posts Pepper and others who are there have put forward of those that are glad your guys are there. I think if his posts are right then most of the country is probably happier now than they have been for 20 plus years.
Save for a few who lost loved ones in accidents and stray bombs.

I'm just not sure that nukes are the answer. More problems will arise out of the use of those sort of weapons. Like WW3

I think you forget Pete that a Nuke ended WW2 within one day.

Actually Dave it took three days. The Japanese for some reason didn't surender until Nagasaki was devastated 3 days after hiroshima. Different story, different times.

It's still a hotly contested argument as to whether or not it should have been used. That's history now.

The problem here is that this is not a war between people .. This is a religious war ..One between christian and islam .Islam says kill the infidel wherever they are and show no mercy and the christian says forgive them .. Unfortunatly in the real world it isnt that black and white ,but to the the arabs trying to kill us ,it is black and white ..If they believe that, then there is only one solution in the long or short run and that is to kill infidels. In the long run we are going to have to kill all terroists no matter where they are or come from or how we do it . These terriosts have been fighting and killing everyone on both sides for 2 thousand yrs and we think we can talk to them and make them see the light ?They will set up a killing zone from a hospital they will send kids with bombs . They will do anything they can to kill us no matter how repulsive we think it is .. That is the one thing they actually have going for them ,the more repulsive way to kill the infidell ,the better and the more we want to just cower in a corner .. The japanese did that in WW2 and it took an abomb to stop all that .These terroists make the japanese then look like choir boys in the way they think and act ..We have to stop them however we can and if that takes a bomb over there ..Get with it !! If we dont then they might get one to dump here . It is much better to see them all dead than us..

We may have ended WWII with two nukes, but that was only because nobody else had them. Could you imagine what would have happened if Japan had a nuke at that time?

It is hard to nuke people you can't find...

We can't nuke em. That would be suicide. You think the world hates us now? If we nuked them we would have to nuke everyone else because they would all start terrorizing us. Well, we wouldnt have to nuke Canada or France...they're defenseless...but everyone else.

Lets say you were on a surgens table having cancer removed. The surgen says to you "hey, I thinkl I got it all, but to really be sure, I must remove some healthy tissue also". wouldnt you say hell yes, please make sure you got it all?
I think way too many of those people over there are extremists. They hate us and our "heinus" way of life. I dont hate them or anyone else, but if it comes down to them or me............. Thats why I voted "NUKE EM" (knowing of course, it will never happen)
