Got the Hatori 983 muffler for the YS80. It did not have a clamp with it to attach to the frame of the Helicopter. Do I need to get this clamp for support of the muffler. If so do you know where to get one? Thank you.

Hey David, the 983 is a hatori muffler that cyberheli sells for the ys80. And I am not sure why it comes without a clamp. Seems like it should.

That Shadel's muffler clamp, where do you get it?

You dont need a clamp for the 983 muffler.Just bolt it directly to your engine.

The 983 is a one piece muffler. Is that why you do not need a clamp?

The Hatori983 is a one piece design.
You only need a clamp if it is a two piece design.
Ive got the 983 on one of my Pro:s and I have been flying it very much without any problems.

US and European

There is a US Hatori and a European Hatori. European #'s are different and mufflers are a little different in make up.

I have the SB15, but the clamps that comes with it are a two piece set, but when put together they don't fully wrap around the muffler, and the included standoffs are too short for the Fury.

Did you use the SB15 bracket or just went the Shadel's. Is the Shadel's standoff long enough for the fury. - Thanks.
