Hello Alex,

I have a CSM 400, I could say that I am satisfied but several other users admit that Futaba earlier gyros are by far better.
The 401 is maybe the best buy nowdays. Priced almost the same as a CSM400 is offered with a brilliant servos at the very good price of 200$.

I have recently purchased a used R30 and I need gear and gyro.
So, I am looking for a used or new Futaba GY401 with or without servo.

A friend of mine using the CSM 540 sold it because he was facing a drift problem. Have a look in the forum and you will find several guys having similar problems. IMO, if you buy a CSM gyro you have to be also lucky in order to have no problems, the opposite happens with the Futaba gyros. If you buy a Futaba gyro you are a lucky guy!!!

BTW do you have anything for sale?

I am a happy customer ...

I have three CSM360 HH gyros and love them. Never had a drift issue. Tail holds great.

I have two of them and like them very much. You can get a deal in the swap shop sometimes on one.

I had 2-360's both drifted. Got rid of them, got a 540, was installing it and the thing acted really weird, the servo was just going nuts. I tipped the heli on its side during the installation and heard a noise in the CSM case. I opened it up and found the piezo unit completely loose from the PC board, it had not even been soldered in. Ron Lund swapped it for me for another 540. It drifted worse than the 360s before it.

Some people swear by CSMs, I swore at them. IMO,Save yourself a lot of headache and get a Futaba.

We, all have to admit that a CSM 400 with a good servo cost more than the GY401/9253 combo.

198$ shipped to Italy from Heli-Kraft.com
