| I have this combination and it works fine.
I use Aux3 for the gyro gain setting.
I'm going to state the obvious now, so please don't be offended if you have already checked all this:
Are you sure you have the shaved lead plugged in the correct way round ? Futaba signal wire is white and should line up with the orange JR signal wires in the RX.
Have you enabled the gyro sensitivity in Code 44 on the TX ?
If you are plugged in to the gear switch, have you enabled it correctly in code 17 on the TX ?
Is the gyro sensor plugged into the control amp properly ?
If you check all this and it looks OK, I'd see if you can test the gyro with someone elses equipment as it may be dud.
