What ToyMan told you was correct. Inspect those two shafts. I assume that you balanced the blades that came with the kit right? If not, you need to balance your new blades. If you don't know how then pick up a copy or Ray's Authoritative Heli Manual from your LHS or one of the online stores.
Also, check that the tail shaft & tail hub didn't get bent.
Crashing is NOT a requirement or "paying your dues" to learn to fly RC helis. Try to read this sight for some flight training tips. I agree with his approach:

I have the Venture 30 also and it is a VERY nice little machine. Just be careful and keep it < 3ft until you have hovering down. Going to high when you aren't ready can cause problems.
