Well I now have close to 2 gallons through this bird and I would like to add that it is an EXCELLENT little chopper. For those of you that want to bash and thrash a low cost heli then you really need to consider the new Venture 30 among your choices. You don't need a bearing upgrade or this or that add-on. She is ready to go.
I do think that it is slightly lower in the power to weight ratio compared to a Raptor 30 but not by much. FFF is a little faster than the Raptor and it rolls REAL fast. With the kit coming with 2 different options for cyclic tuning you can really grow with into the heli.
A 50 conversion would make this thing the bomb and I am getting the parts sourced soon.
Here is my setup:
Radio:
Swashplate - JR531s(std servos would be just fine. Just make sure they are BB supported)
Rudder - GY401/9253
Throttle - Hitec 525
2700 NIMH 4.8v battery AA Size
Power:
OS .32 SX-H on 30% CP juice, OS#8 plugs
Ace Upgrade Muffer( not best choice for 9.78:1 ratio. To long of an expansion champer. Try Hatorri)
Blades:
Main - SAB 550 CF (excellent as usual)
Tail - NHP 85mm (moderate improvment over stock so far)
Other:
CF Dual boom supports ( lighter and can reach glow plug without remote glow setup)
T&T Header Tank
