JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Voyager 50 metal fan

Anyone out there know if there is a metal fan for the Voyager 50 ?
Specifically the Voyager 50IMZ but I think the fans are the same on the normal Voyager.

I have tracked down a CNC fan (part number 60142) which is listed for the Ergo.

Cheers in advance

May be someone with an Ergo 50 could post the part number of the fan ?

Cheers

Ergo 50 fan

I have an Ergo 50 and the Voyager 50, The fans are not the same.
The screws that hold the clutch to the fan on the Ergo are installed on the side into the clutch.

The Voyager's go in from the top.
What is wrong with the plastic fan that comes with the Vouager?

The plastic fan works excellent for me. My IMZ RV-50 runs as cool as can be.

KS762

Have just been told by K&S that their metal fan (KS762) will fit the Voyager. Have ordered it so will post the results here when I have it fitted.

It probably will look great but is not needed, my plastic fan has perfect balance. Your probably wanting more of the eye candy effect over performance, nothing wrong with that at all. Let us know if it bolts on.

This may sound a bit sad, but my IMZ is going to be my 'Rolls Royce' helicopter, so it's getting the best of everything

According to K&S it is a straight swap, and checking the part numbers the Ergo fan is 960011, the V50 fan is 60011, and the IMZ fan is also 60011. I think the 9 on the ergo part number does not mean anything in reality.

I also have the JR metal control arms on their way, and the dual bearing main shaft bearing blocks

Carps,

Did you receiver your metal fan and metal control arms for your Voyager IMZ? How is the fit and have you noticed any differences in flight?

No, haven't received them yet

First time CyberHeli have been slow, but I know they were waiting for one part which was apparently due to arrive at the end of May.

Hopefully the parts are on their way now. I have been waiting patiently before starting construction as a couple of bits are needed in the first few stages. I'll post piccies when they arrive.

Pictures of the fan...

Here's a picture of the metal fan I got for my V50IMZ.

[sorry the pictures are so large ]
It is the KS762 and is an exact swap for the standard fan.

Anyone interested in my other upgrades can seem them here

Not much left to do before the first flight now

The IMZ RV-50 is the smoothest power plant I have ever seen. The power is outstanding. I can pull 14 degrees on my Voyager IMZ and not load the engine. I set it up at 14 one day to try and see what guts the engine had. I now just fly it a +/- 10.5 degrees. It idles so low and smooth that other pilots have told me it's quit running on autos. I can not say enough about my RV-50. You just have to see one run.

Part number 60779 $23.25USD

Price is from CyberHeli.
It comes with enough paper to make a spare filter element, and all the fittings (as you'd expect)

There are some more pictures in that link I posted earlier in this thread.
