| Hi all.
I have a Raptor 30 and a Fury 60, both using the JR 550T/8417 combo on the tail (sad isn't it). Both have served me well...
Recently, the 550 on the Raptor keeled over. For one reason or another, it developed a wag. I also realized that to get it to switch from Normal to HH, my mix was totally backwards from that on the Fury (I had to inhibit the mix for a given flight mode to get HH to come on instead of activate it). I swapped the gyro amp from the Fury into the Raptor; the mix problem went away, and the wag problem was much better.
Tonight, while tinkering with the Raptor, I noticed that if I set the gyro to Normal mode, the HH indicator light flashes from a constant red (indicating normal mode), to green (for HH) and back randomly, and the rudder servo responds as if I am quickly switching between HH and Normal. There is no problem if in HH mode.
I tried unplugging everything except the gyro and the amp, but that didn't help. Switched batteries, turned off my TV, the lights, ... I plugged the wagging, backwards gyro in and the light didn't flash...
Sooo.. What should I be doing, other than getting a GY[4,5,6]01? I'm trying to stick to a budget so I can pay for another Fury. |
