e-JR Voyager E > Hacker C40-9L What Pinion?

I purchased a Hacker C40-9L about a year ago. Unfortunately, I bought it before I found this forum and that the 8L motors were preferred. I just went with what was listed on Hacker's site.

I have been flying 8 cells on an 19t pinion. I just upgraded to 10 cells in hopes to get more power out of the system. 10 cells is what Hacker recommends for this machine/motor combo.

What pinion are you guys running the C40-9L with? How would you describe performance?

Just for grins, I tried it with the 19 and got way too much headspeed, which resulted in out of track and shakes.

Thanks, in advance, for any advice.

I just bought a Voyager E and put a Hacker C40-9L, Hacker 48 amp opto ESC, and 7600/10C/Li-Po battery. Have gotten 25 to 30 minutes practicing hovering. Motor get warm, but the battery stays cool during the flight time..It seems a little slow to speed up to hovering, but once it gets there it stays. the 9L is rated at 3333rpm/volt.. the head speed might be a little slow, but it works for me now. Might want to change to 17t later on.
