Under the Caliber 30 thread, someone mentioned one of the other Kyosho helis that had a "flapping head". What does this refer to or how does it differ from the heads I have on my Nexus and Fury which are essentially the same other than size, bearings etc.
Thanks,,, basmntdweller

not sure about the caliber, but the kyosho flapping head, just does not have dampers in it, the nexus deluxe and concept vr, use this head and I believe the caliber does too.

Are you calling the dampers the hard rubber pieces that support the feather shaft? If so, how is the feathering shaft held? Tight fit in the head block? Is the flapping head better at specific flight conditions? Just trying to learn more!
Thanks,,, basmntdweller

flapping head

The early nexus had the flapping head as did the concepts. The later nexus all have spindle shafts that run from one grip to the other thus no flapping head. Actually flapping blades. The point is that they are not the same and the Cal30 does not use the same head as the nexus or concept. I havent taken mine apart but it doesn't flap soooooo.
Hope that helps.
