I just got done doing this mod, and honestly I didn't get it until I looked at the picture on page 1 and started to set it all up on the predator. And then it just hit me. Now I see the principal behind it, and can't wait to see how it works.

Gasser set up

Make sure you reset your throttle curves ect.They will be wrong with the new set up.Your throttle will be running behind your pitch settings so best to start again.

Gasser set up

I dont run a Predator myself so i am not the best person to advise on this one.Maybe an owner with the same throttle set up,gear ratio,blades would be best to give you an idea.When i set up my linkage i found that i had too much pitch for too little throttle opening making the engine bog and it would probably overheat if left.Sometimes i think it is best to fine tune your own curves to suit your own heli.When you try your heli you will probably find you will either have to increase the throttle opening at hover point or reduce the pitch.If you are running a governor you may find your engine is struggling to obtain its preset headspeed because it has too much pitch now because the throttle is lagging behind,so fine tuning your curves is essential to prevent this.Eliminating the bogging is the aim so you have a clean free running motor that is not struggling to keep the heli in the air.

I tried this new setup and it works great. Before I was hovering at 25% and it was hard to control the head speed when doing flips and tick tock as it would overspeed and load the engine too much with tick tock. With the new setup I hover at 50% and she flew alot better and when doing tick tock the engine did not change speed which was great as I was having hard time trying to keep the head speed the same at all times when doing 3D. This small change made a big different in way the Predator flew. Did anybody notice this?

Gasser set up

I dont have a Predator but both my gassers(both competely different makes)feel much livelier with this set up,one runs a G231 the other G260.My impression is that it makes the heli "feel"a few pounds lighter than it really is.Altering the transition point seems to make all the difference.

Shawmcky my predator is also powered by G231 and she felt light in the air. Before it felt like a gasser and now it like a nitro 90. Its hard to believe. Anybody with a gasser should try this setup
