Beginners Corner > Tail wag at low gain

I have a fury and I can't get rid of the tail wag. I have a GY502 and I the gain is 35 in normal mode. It isn't much but it's still there. I think that my egnine not is properly set. I have a os 61 lx-h running on rossi 5000 non nitro fuel. I noticed that it's hard to get this thick exhaust smoke that the most helis have when running. Is this normal? I have a OS A3 plug.

when I turn the gain to zero so there is just some small high frequent vibrations sideways in the tail.. is it possible to get rid of these to? How?

I suppose that the gain for hover and for flight should be around 70/40 right?

Any ideas about my problem?

If have found two other issues besides gain that can cause tail wag;

1) Headspeed Too High (should be 1500-1700rpm)

2) Engine running too lean

Your not reading it right. Your 40/70 is this. The gyro sees from the radio like this,

50 to 0 (going backwards) no holding in normal mode to maximum in normal mode, try 20 as recommended in the manual for your normal mode decreasing this value will strenthen the amount of hold in normal.

50 to 100 (going up) is your heading hold, I believe the manual suggests 70 as a starting point. Increasing this value will increase the amount of hold or as they call it AVCR.
