| I am a newbie and I have a question concerning the run up stand used in Rays book. Obviously Ray is all for it and his reasons for justifying its use seem valid to me. Maybe not the safest thing in the world but then again standing in the same field with a machine with exposed blades that are running at 15k isn't exactly like wading in the shallow end with water wings either. I have also heard the opposition to the idea, imposed forces on the heli that are not the same as in the air, unloading of the system once airborne and all that. Is using a stand a viable option for those of us who don't have acces to experianced help nearby? |
