I'm not a total noob to helis as I'm progressing on from being able to safely hover a Hornet I had last year (now sold) to a larger heli. I had my mind all made up on a Logo 10 after seeing all the reviews and I decided to go all the way and get a new Carbon one to get all the mods and save weight as I want to progress through to doing aerobatics.
I now see the Logo 14 is here soon and looks very good too. I do also have an auteriour motive for looking at a slightly larger heli as I also fly '40' size planes and I power those with a semi HV setup of 20xCP1700 cells for 5 mins of flight giving around 18A average current draw (peak about 35A).
Ideally I would like to be able to reuse these packs in the heli I get (thus saving up-front costs) and then when I progress on to LiPolys I would be able to use the packs I get (probably 6s3p?) in both the heli and the planes. The size of pack led me to think the Logo 14 may be just what I need.
I know the 14 isn't readily available but comments on my thoughts and particularily relating to battery reusibility or motor choice would be welcomed.
Thanks

The other advantage of the 14 is the tail rotor, which is driven at all times. Rudder control during autos is a big plus, and will allow you to progress in that area as well.
