V East,,,, What a GREAT place

Has anyone bought from Sandy at V East??? This guy is a class act. I bought a bell 230 from him just around Easter. I sent a few email's to him with some questions. He answered everyone. You no he even answered my email on a Sunday and one on Easter. I'm not saying he going to answer everyone on a Sunday, but he did for me. I have even talked to him on the phone and Sandy answered. mmmmmmm not many places do that. He told me when my order would be shipped and delievered. He was right on. If anyone needs scale parts or fuses,,,, PLEASE contact this company. He will do you right

Thanks
Hoss

Sandys very cool

I have the Bell 230 and Agusta A-109 fuse kits, and look forward to getting both in the air asap.

Mine will both have Hirobo scale mechanics in them

V- east Graupner

I am new to the forum and I have been flying heli for over 15 years. I have bought an NH90 turbine when it first came out, and recently another A-star with Uni-2000 mechanics from Sandy. Let me tell you, he is a great guy to deal with, but sometimes I feel sorry for him because Graupner is not fully backing him up. I waited almost a year for the A-star, and 6 months for the tail gear box, another 6 months for the 4 blades head, so on and on. Everything you want, you have to wait, especially the new stuff, just don't believe a word from Graupner.

On the other hand, they have great products, although not as fancy as other manufacturer, but it works, and it is one of the smoothest mechanics I have seen (out of my 15 plus years in flying RC), too bad, there is not a lot of people using it. Combining the A-star and Uni-2000, with an OS91, this is one hell of a helicopter, smooth, quite, and reliable. The NH90 is a great helicopter, I also owned another turbine from Vario, an EC135, both have their pros and cons. The NH90 is really high quality piece of work, everything fits where it supposed to be, and it flied the first time.

Anyway, if you are looking for some scale project, V-east and Graupner is a good place to start. You will not be disappointed.

I have a Starlet 50 - - great heli - pity Graupner and gettings spares is such an issue. I am in Ireland btw.
Considering the spares problems - I doubt I will buy another Graupner.

ChazAxl,

I'm in Ireland too - I buy from Martin Briggs in the UK.

I heard lots of good things about Sandy. I'm goint to put my Uni60 into a 230 Fuz soon and his site has details of the build. Right now the Euro to Dollar rate would make VEsat prices seem very cheap but not sure if the savings would be spent on the shipping!

Thanks - do you have contact details for them in the UK?
Do they supply all the Graupner items? Im looking for some of the bevel gears, simple items really.
Im not too far from you, in Dundalk - where you fly?
