Great flying Lior. Just curious, how many "dumb thumb" crashes did you roughly have per year learning all that stuff?

very nice flyin!!!

Very nice Lior!! Alot smoother than your other vids. Seemed likey you werent tryin as hard. I like the piro take off!

Now I have to do this. I know Im probably going to catch some heat but this question pops up everytime I watch him fly. Please dont mistake this for ignorance. I just dont know.

Your from Isreal. Everytime I watch you or read a post I think dam this guy is from Isreal. Then the first thing that comes to mind is all the crap we hear or see on the tv. How is it that your flying helis and all that other **** is going on?? That country isnt that big is it? Its just crazy to know that all the other stuff is going on and on the other side of the country people are living good lives flying remote control helicopters. More of the question on my mind is you seem so modernized. But what we see on the tv I would never get that picture in my head. How is that?

Now please do not take this for ignorance or mean hearted. I just really dont know. I have been to Bosnia and have seen what its like to an extent. But the dam near the whole country was the same. Yes there was different ethnic groups but as far as the modernization it wasnt that far off from each other.

Im just curious. I have been wanting to ask for awhile.

PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY. I CANT STESS THIS ENOUGH THAT I JUST DONT KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3DPP, i fly only on weekends, and an average of 6-8 flights per weekend, really not that much...

white chocolate, thats simple, all the stuff you see \ hear are on certain areas and in 90% of the country is just quiet and living like in any other place... this aint no Bosnia !

kym, this was 7.92 ratio, i went back to this ratio as the PS didnt really like 8.45.

thanks for all the comments guys, other comments obviously welcome.

Your getting pretty good with that thing now. Which tail gyro were you using on the helicopter in this video?

Hey I3DM - How do you like that gyro compared to the GY401? Been taking a look at them lately and from what I've been reading they are pretty darn capable. (Your tail seems nice and locked in on that vid.)

Thanks for the comments! Did you program it via your PC or are you flying it as it came out of the box? From what I've been reading, out of the box it's not the greatest, but if you tweak it, the holding power becomes VERY close to a 601.

It aslo depends what you are used to, but if you spend the time with the CSM on setting up you will NOT be disapointed, without adjusting the parameters !!!!

I spoke to Russ Deakin and the main parameter he said was worth playing with, was, the heading lock decay down to 0, if I remember right ??

Check the gallery!

Here is what Russ Deakin sent me in a PM:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi I3DM

The below settings are very close to my existing settings. Any deviations are due to the fact the factory interface has many more adjustable parameters and these parameters bear some relationship / influence to the stock parameter values.
If you campare these values to the earlier V-1 and V-2 software, you will notice a large change in the Acceleration Gain value. We had to keep the acceleration value low on V-1 and 2 versions to retain good stop performance. CSM have now re-worked the stop performance to allow infinite adjustment of Acceleration Gain.
To simplify the function of Acceleration Gain, it can be thought of as a pre-booster to the conventional and Heading lock gain. Obtain the correct value of Acceleration Gain and the gyro will be capable of retaining a higher amount of Transmitter Gain.
Too low a value of Acceleration Gain and the gyro will be succepatble to wagging in backward flight, thus forcing a reduction in Transmitter Gain. Too high a value and the Gyro will be suscepatable to wagging in sideways flight etc., thus forcing a reduction.
The correct amount of acceleration gain can generally be measured by a compromise between the maximum possible value in backward and sideways flight. This is easily tested by adjusting the Transmitter gain value to its maximum for backward flight and then test for wagging in sideways flight. If no wagging exists, then you can rasie the Acceleration gain further until the best compromise is found. I currently run Acceleration Gain values of around 180 with very good results, which is plus 60 from the default value.

I have included this explanation, so that you can better understand the function and reasoning for the large change in value. Have fun testing the new settings and please do let me know how you get on!

Also feel free to post this info on RR as it might help fill the gap until I get time to sort out details for the CSM web-site.

Russ Deakin.
