Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > HEP!!! -- GV-1 won't hold speed.

I am using my GV-1 for cylic to throttle mixing. I am flying some 3D with my idle 2 curve set at -10 to +11. I have my rpm set for 1800 using a YS 61 ST2. I am running 30% Cool Power. I have a 9250 servo on the throttle and I am using a GY401/9253 combo

I see a dramatic drop in rpm when I go to do a stationary roll or stationary flip. I have also seen my control of the tail rotor fade momentarily immediately after performing a manuver. Could anyone please shed some light on my situation. Basically my engine is bogging big time.

I have 97% on my sensor and I am using the larger Radio Shack rare earth magnets.

I think this is a engine tuning problem, however, I am not positive. Does your GV-1 hold rpm relatively well in 3D???

Help.

You GV-1 is probably masking a severely misadjusted carb needle. Disconnect the GV-1 and setup the heli with the regular throttle curves and then reconnect the GV-1.

Doing so you will achieve two things.

1) Your engine needle setting won't be masked by the GV-1 trying to increase or decrease the rpms.

2) In case your GV-1 sensor fails it will allow you to have correct throttle curves and prevent a crash.

For a complete explanation on how to properly setup throttle curves visit my gallery and click on one of my articles entitled "Setting up your head speed correctly"

Sounds like too much pitch also. If you have +11/-10 and you add 5 to 6 deg more cyclic/swash mix to in high pitch manuvers you'll be effectivley adding more "blade" pitch than the YS61 or any 61 can overcome. Even with Ail/Elev throttle mix added from the radio.
And yes even though the following blade goes opposite (neg or pos) than the leading blade it still adds torque to the rotor system.
