I just recieved a new 4S4P thunder power pack, voltage at peak charge (still charging) with the schuze 330 was 16.9 volts. After charging was completed schulze shows 16.3 volts. Does this sound correct? According tp thunder power instructions fully charged voltage should be 16.5 to 16.9. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

16.7V

If I fully charge my 4s4p TP the voltage is 16.7 V
But I have to discarge to 16.5V otherwise my BEAT 40-6-12 wont arm.
So If I don't discharge the 16.7V stays stable

Fully charged is approx. 4.2V X 4 = 16.8V If you are truly at 16.3V (i.e., the voltage reading on your charger is accurate), then you are a bit undercharged.

Check your pack voltage with a good voltmeter.

Thanks

I did some research and found a similar situation. simon109 had a similar situation with the schulze 6-33 when charging his pack. I believe the batteries are fine, I checked with my volt meter and they read 17.1 volts. The schulze voltage must read low when the pack is connected. Anyone else ever seen this?

The fully charged voltage should be 16.8 volts. 4.2 x 4

My dvm will read exactly the same.

But that is after it is completely charged. [ the current has ramped down and completed the charge]

When it is charging [heavily] it will read higher than when you stop.

This is voltage drop across the connecting wires and internal impedance when charging a large current......several amps or so.

Funny that - I had the same thing last weekend from my schultz 330, it initially went to 16.9 then at full charged stated 16.3.

It seems to have beena one off as when I cherged again from the car bat I got 16.8V. Was your charger on the ac/dc wall convertor, i wonder if that is the issue as mine puts out 13.8V and 10-12 Amps - could the step up circuit to get to 16.8ish be needing more power, hence the car battery was fine?

I used a friends microloader charger this weekend. There is a difference in the voltage that the schulze 330 reads compared to what the micrloader reads. My schulze consistently reads 16.3 volts following the charge cycle, the microloader reads 16.8 volts. However, the both show a cut off voltage of 16.9 volts. This test was done with the same pack, I also checked the charged pack on both, same result 16.3 schulze, 16.8 microloader. Interesting!!!
