I built mine with the new frames. It appeared that the original 46 frames would need to be cut to access and tune the larger carb. As I did not want to modify a structural significant part I opted to get the then new frames. I learned on this helo and banged it up a bit. I have yet to damage any of the frames.

OS50 in SE/V1

Hi Trace,

Yes it is possible but because the main needle on the OS46 is in a different location then that on the 50, you will have to file a notch with a dremel or round file to clear the main needle on the 50.

Sorry for the late response.

Its is possible to run the 50 with the stock side frames with the mod alread posted, but you will also have to modify the engine mount to accept the back of the crank case. The conversion kit already has both of the problems taken care of for you.
