Ok.. I have the standard OS 32 right now... If I were to put a OS 46 in it, what else would I have to do other than the fan and mount replacement??? Would it be necessary to do all the 50 conversion mods, or would it fly ok still set up for the 32??

If I were to go through the trouble of changing to a 46, I would definitely maximize the benefits of it by adding 600mm blades. And of in that case, you will need the 50 gears so that the engine ran in the range it performs best in.

BTW

I tried the other way (600 blades/gear/long boom) with a 32, and it doesn't work.

If you don't want to make the 50 conversion perhaps a better/cheaper option would be a Westen Pipe. Lots of extra power for the OS/32 for 50+ bucks.

I've done it both ways and prefer the long blade and 8.5:1 gearing. Makes it MUCH more economical also.
