Hi

Just had the first few flights with my new Fury Expert with OS91SX-H + zimmermann pipe

Is it just a "getting used to" issue or is this combo actually too powerfull ??

I am tempted to turn down max pitch and max throttle and use the surplus power in swash-->throttle mix and tail-->throtle mix only

Using all the power on pitchrange makes the "stick nervous" as much more pitch is covered by he same stick-range.

What do you guys do with all that extra power ??

What to do with all that power

Well for one thing this is alot more 'oompf' for pushing the heli around knife edge (if your into that). Inverted 'push outs' are explosivly fast, tick tocks dont load the disk... there is alot you can do to use some of the extra power. But just because its there doesn't mean you have to use it all the time. Try limiting throttle/ collective in normal and idle1, go for broke on Idle 2, and make use of the extra upper pitch range for hold (autos). Having 12 degrees on top with 700mm blades makes for some super extended autos.

Too much power?

HUH?
Did I miss something? I am confused, I never heard of that phrase. It's not in my vocabulary. I love having ALOT of power but have never had too much. Just makes the pucker factor increase. That is why I fly helicopters they keep your heart pounding. Not like the planks I just fall asleep flying lumber. If you see me flying an airplane better come wake me before I fall. I pretty much bend the sticks flying the heli and the Fury with the Big Blocks don't cry about it. I am flying a YS 80 right now with the 91 on the bench waiting for my Extreme hopefully by this Fri.
