Well,
If anybody cares I got some pics of new Fury. I did the paint job with Pactra RC racing paint. The laquer not the acrylic. The window was done with Dupli-Color "graphite grey" from the auto parts store and the signature was from a fine tip paint pen form a crafts store. I practiced for a day to try to write half way decent. It didn't turn out too bad I guess. The whole thing was sprayed with Hobby Poxy two-part clear coat. This stuff is totally fuel proof to any nitro content.

Theres another pic in my galley if somebody wants to see a close up of how I did the fuel lines.

Anyways.... I know its not a barn burner flame job but I had to have something until Joe can get my canopy done I have on order from him. The solid white canopy was just too disorienting sometimes .

Have fun,
Mike

Nice!

Well done, Mike. Next time, instead of using a pen, drop me an e-mail and I'll print them for you on a clear, 2-mil label. Solid silver or gold outlined in black look GREAT!

Plus, the price is right and there's no shipping to your door!

Hi,

Looks good. I've been practising the writing thing for over 28 years and it still looks a lot worse than yours

Looks like I need some practising on the spelling thing too, add a "ti" above so it actually says writing instead of wring.

Hooked,

If your gettin tired of that ugly orange and yellow canopy I've got a nice perty snow white one I'd be willing to trade for it

Seriously though, if you still have the futaba servo stud thingies I'd be interested in purchasing them back from you?

Thanks guys. I appeciate it.

Bill,
The decals are a good idea. I'll get ahold of you next time. Although, It was kinda fun doing it freehand. The pucker factor was way high the first time the pen touched the canopy. . I think if I was to do it again I'd make my guide lines a little more visible.

Later,
Mike

Duelist, Somehow a sceadu 50, os 50 and a few other things turned into a new upgraded fury 60 expert in a trade. Did'nt really have anything against the fury I sold, just wanted to try some different brands out and something had to go.

How did the gy601 work out on the lmh?
