The # one thing that seems to happen most to people is all about the gyro!!! A lot of these accidents can be prevented. Pre-flighting can help a bunch, also, making sure that the pilot flying knows what he or she is doing. If you are just starting out in this hobby, I highly recomend getting trained befor taking it into the air!! It can save you a lot of money and even possibly a life!!

You need to read more about the gryo problems these folks are having. In 99% of them, don't matter how much or what the extent of your preflight check is, you wont find it.

Not saying don't preflight, as I pre and post flight all day long.....just that the gyro problems wont be found in preflight....and THAT is what is scaring folks.

I think the kid makes a real good point.

Maybe not just the gyro, but the tail linkage and drive mechanism as well. These delicate parts are very susceptible to damage during transport and should be looked over before each flight.
