I have the eyetop headset, and frankly, I have never seen a bigger waste of money in my life! The headset is horrible! Does someone make one of these worth a damn or do I just need a second person?

I have flushed four bills and felt better about it...........

The eyetop stuff is garbage.

I got a pair for free and ended up giving them to someone that I couldn't stand. (I am still overwhelmed with guilt)

The glasses that the eyetops are built around are the absolute poorest quality you could ever imagine.

Three minuets and your the new poster boy for Bayer asprin.

I have seen the Oakley retrofit here on RR, search Vr glasses and I am sure that they will come up. This is a nice retro fit.

In this case you get what you pay for, and you paid for garbage, albeit top of the pile. Isn't ITOP an Acronym for (I Top Of Pile.)

Not cheap, but either is what we are doing. I picked up a set of these and I never leave home without them. Just don't let me catch you driving while watching baywatch.

Added benifit you don't look like as much of a tool with these as you do with the, I tool glasses.

See RR thread: http://runryder.com/helicopter/t561...ight=vr+glasses

It is quite irronic that the $1400 dollar version is exactly like the $400 dollar version EXCEPT that they do not SUCK!

My only complaint is that the charger that came with the MO glasses is so poor it makes the eyetop performance seem impressive.

paid 300$ for eye top, i'll just sell them. I have too many trees in this area to have my vision not be perfectly "open".

I like that MO stuff and focus at infinity would be cool.

Oakley Eyetops

Nosomo

You made me laugh, put a post in selling the Eyetops and in the next post, slated them to bits, cracked me up. Good luck with the sale

Flyboy mentioned the Oakley conversion, I too was dissapointed with the Eyetop glasses, not so much how it all worked, the viideo flickers slightly but all I want is to frame the shot and after a minute or so your eye adjusts to the flicker. Hardest thing I found was seeing anything through them, the heli would jump around, they are so distorted its untrue.

Anyway, my budget wasn't huge, never is, and these did what I wanted so I tried the Oakley conversion, needless to say its superb, I used to fly wearing the Oakleys on occasions anyway so was used to them, they just make it so much easier and there is no distortion to deal with.

Worth a try if your on a budget, once I get a well paid job or 10, I might try the CV's, but not yet.

Cheers

I guess that I wasn't clear with my previous questions. Maybe my lenses were too dirty ? 8-)

Concerning the Micro Optical displays :
How is the display in bright sunlight ?
Any issues with wearing bifocals/trifocals ?
Also, does anyone discount them ? All that I've found on the 'net is list price for the few that even show them.

TIA,
Rick
