Guys I have been reading that a few of you are using the Hacker B20 18L on your Zooms. Surely the KV is to low, how many teeth are on that main gear, it looks about the same size as a hornets. If this is true I will be trying the ModeMotors AC12/15 equivalent of the hacker instead when I can get my hands on a Zoom.

130 you say, I think with the added load of the tail drive and a tad extra weight. Im thinking hoverup is right on the mark with the Hacker 15, but Im sure the MM motor would still perform well.

I have the MiniAC1215/16 and a CC Ph-25 sitting on my bench waiting for the arrival of my Zoom, as soon as I have tried it I'll post a reply. When running the calculations the 1215/16 should be ok with a 8 or 9 tooth pinion.

OK, I finally got my Zoom I installed the MiniAC1215/16 with an 8 tooth pinion I've only had a 5 minute hover but power seemed more than adequate for general flying. I'll give it a better go later.

I had to fit a shorter pinion than the stock one so flipped the tail rotor gear box assy around to the otherside of the boom, turned the tail blades arounds and it works a treat. The tail drive now engages the motor pinion below the main gear rater than above.
