Read the Manual

Did you read the engine manual.
Just don't run it lean!
Good Luck!

I started mine at 3 turns out, in the heli, with the blades on. Since it was my first heli, I also sought expert advice and assistance. If this is your first heli, I'd highly recommend you do this. My 'expert' carried out the first couple of tanks of flying before I began hopping around. This ensures the heli is set correctly and also gives you a vast amount of confidence in your machine when you see it flying around.

If you need to run the engine before it's first flight you can get head loaders to fit in place of the blades. These are similar to the balls from training undercarriage attached to short arms which you bolt on in place of the blades. They save any risk of having blades attached while you tinker with the motor.

Good luck
