Has anyone tried to place an extra tail boom over the exhaust and pipe it further back?

Hi

Yep, did that with my Sceadu 50. Used a thicker rubber extension from the existing exhaust diverter into an old carbon Fury boom and a wider length of silicon pipe angling it down off of the vertical tail.

Never had a problem at all, heli still ran well with loads of power, need to re check needle settings etc and make sure its not too restrictive.

Cheers

Lee

I think I am going to try this. I have already covered all of my equipment in a giant bag (made use of the canopy bag). I devised a clever way for everything to be inside of it, yet let the lens escape, and still get into the enclosure in about 15 seconds if I need to. I have a USB cable ran inside and hooked up so retrieving pics is a snap.

It's way over engineered, but I don't skimp on anything.

Well I did it today, not too satisfied with the results yet. It's on the edge of the blades and the TR gets part of it and the blades "rewash" some of the blown air and then it recirculates it. I'm going to cut it down 2in, should solve the problem. Sounds like a dirt bike kind of, no performance loss noted. You also get to here the engine now, by itself it's not very loud.
