Well, a Maine Coon is more a list of matching criteria than an actual breed. There are very very few actual cat "breeds". We got ours from a family who breeds them and sells them world wide. They are not like a Siamese or what not, they can be mutts. They need only meet the criteria of a Maine Coon to be called one.

This little fellow isn't a pet and so doesn't have a name, but is one of the wild Red Squirrels that shares our house and garden. I took this shot through the kitchen window; they come there to feed. We have hours of fun watching them throughout the year. The grey fur is the winter coat, in the summer they are a glorious deep red-brown.

My old dog had a pet tape worm until one day my mum went out side and saw this huge long white thing hanging out my dogs butt. She went and got something to grab it with and snapped it off
