Once again The LARKS Club in Sulphar LA Top themselves just like they have always done. All the club members ran around cooking BBQ, going to get drinks in town to make sure that sodas and water were available for their guests. Louisana is very Humid as some of you know. As great hosts that the LARKS are, they thought it would be to much for some of their guest, so the Fans came out to cool the 95 pilots.

Cajun poeple love to feed their guest that come to their homes and try to make you feel right at home and that is what this fun fly was like. Thursday night at the field some of the guests were already there. As I said Cajun poeple must feed you. So they went to town to get crawfish for a Crawfish boil. I was very sorry I missed it. I arrived on Friday morning and the donuts and Coffee were waiting to anyone that would like to have one. Friday night for $5.00 they had an all-you-can-eat fried crawfish and french fries. I was so busy Saturday morning I did not notice food but, by 10 oclock the BBQ was going. Saturday was the pilots dinner. When you registered you got a ticket for free pilot dinner. All-you-can-eat jambalaya and some one other great cajun dish I can't remeber. Sunday morning breakfast all-you-can-eat eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice, coffee and milk. free for all.

Great flying all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All contests were fun to watch.

Special Thanks to Mike Moss and the LARKS members.

What was weird was the Mascot's and Duey's birds went in at the exact same place...on different days!!! Mike needs to have an exorcisim preformed on that spot by the fence...bad MoJo lives there. Really a wonderful weekend; food, friends and flyin. Not to many crashes...Curtis Youngblood was his amazing self, when not flying he answered a million questions and helping one and all with their setup ( I think the only heli brands I didn't see CY wring out over the weekend were Kalts and TSK's...). Absolute Hobbies and Rick's RC both set up shop and seemed to be doing a land office business ( at least thats what my wife said..deftly removing my money clip from my person ). I'm waiting impatiently for the Fall FF. Thanks to all the LARKS, you really put on a First Class Fun Fly! Chris

It was GREAT

I was there on Sat. with my new Venture. This was my first and definetly not my last trip to the Sulphur funflys.

The food was great, the safety was high, and the club was MORE than generous. This was my wife's first heli funfly and she even had fun!!

Thanks Larks!!

MAYDAY!

What can I say? GOOD FOOD ! GOOD FRIENDS! GOOD FLYING! This is one of the best FLY IN's of the year.

People there really do make you feel at home. And if you leave there
hungry it is YOUR OWN FAULT. The people there are very friendly.
I did not want to leave!

MAXX is correct "there's some bad MoJo" out by the fence!

Leroy did plow it in fist thing Sat. morning but we were able to get it back in the air in a couple of hours.

Sun. the freestyle event went well. Everybody was ready and put on a great show. Curtis started off with a demo then he did the judging of the the event. I thought Curtis was a tough act to follow Until I saw Fatboy perform. Steven, that was a great show and I thank you for the memories. (I haven't laughed that hard in long time)

I also would like to thank Duey for his dedication to the hobby and the will to win. Duey showed us all that he has nerves of steel and will take competition to the extream. Speaking for myself "I would tried to bail out" But not Duey, I is a true competitor.

Duey, Great move!
Lesson learned: Call the maneuver so you will be judged accordingly

Leroy was able walk away with 3rd place wood for the event.

To all our flying friends and the hosts of LARKS we can't wait till FALL FEST.
