Bugsquawsher Senior Heliman Location: Pflugerville Texas
| I just went throught your question about what heli to get.
Well from one newbie to another.
If you are like me, I want to fly, not wait for parts.
Go to your favorite local hobbie store and see what they carry.
and then look at how well they stock repair parts for them.
I did this some what but was still talked into a Sceadu .
They had the raptor there also and had a very good selection of parts for it.
the sceadu on the other hand they didn't even carry blades for.
They say the sceadu is a better heli. But as A newbie too. I couldn't tell you why. I have seen some of the raptors fly and they seem to do pretty good. And you will see plenty of them at your local flying feild.
I bought mine second hand (already built)
I really don't sudjest this, no matter how good the deal is unless you want to take it completely apart and build it again. And I strongly sudjest this.
Mine crashed because I didn't do this and the guy that built it forgot to locktight one part.
You will know so much more about your heli by building it yourself.
And I dought anyone will dispute this.
If you do decide to get a heli that is not supported with repair parts consider this.
Buy two Kits.
THen you are covered for at least your first crash.
Good luck and happy flyin.
