e-JR Voyager E > Futaba receiver w/ stock speed controller?

Hi, I brought home a JR Voyager-E from a business trip to Hong Kong and I'm finally putting it together. I purchased a Futaba T6XHS radio and 401 gyro to get things going. On a side note, I swear Futaba released the 7 series radio a week after I bought mine, stock with digital servos! Anyway, back on topic!

My question is, the stock speed controller wants to power the receiver and eliminate the receiver battery. I'm worried that I'll plug in the JR speed controller and blow out the Futaba receiver. I'm not even sure if the JR plug is polarized (at least for a Futaba receiver).

Any suggestions? I've read all over this group that I'll hate the stock motor in no time, but I want to start with something, then appreciate an upgrade later

Thanks for all your help!

You'll be fine as long as you don't try to plug in the receiver battery while you have the esc plugged in. The plug direction for the esc is the same as Futaba. Red=red=(+), black=brown=(-), and orange=white=signal. Even if you did put a plug in backwards, it most likely wouldn't harm anything, it just wouldn't work right.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. This gets me one step closer to seeing my Heli in the air.
