| Well I finally crashed my Raptor 30 today (the red one).. Only broke the blades (NHP Razor's ) , bent the tailboom, flybar, and broke the skids. I was hovering inverted and the engine started to sag terribly.. I noticed that it would anytime I would start doing tumbles, etc..
Am I correct in assuming that the engine was going lean?? I'm used to planks, and they're a bit easier to tell for me ... (darn plankers.. I know ) I don't think the engine was smoking as much as my Nexus was.. so that's why I think it was because it was lean???
How do you properly tune a heli?? I know you don't hold that darn thing by the skids spooled up
I'm lucky that thing is built nicely.. And I have to give Joe credit (you know who I mean.. ) The canopy is a stock Raptor plastic canopy, and it landed half on it's side and half on the top.. and all it did was put a hairline crack on the paint... No paint chipped off!!! You REALLY have to look close to see where it cracked too!! Great job!!!!
Thanks!!
