Safety - RC Helis are not toys > Loose antenna

My husband has a Futaba 9CAP, on Monday his heli was getting away from him and not responding too well to the inputs he was making. He had range checked it so couldnt understand the reason for this.
After opening the tx he was informed by the safety officer that the ariel wasnt screwed in all the way.In fact it was only just making a connection.
When he first bought the tx he thought the ariel didnt come off, as he couldnt move it then, that was 4 months ago.
Just wanted to warn everyone to double check yours doesnt do the same thing, fortunately nothing happened, the heli gods were kind

Ariel ? I thought that was a character in Little Mermaid

Sorry just couldn't resist

Thanks for the tip. Always a good thing to look at. I actually make an effort everytime I pull my Tx out to give the antenna a turn to check.

I have also since learned that the Futaba 9Ch PCM 1024 ZHP WC-II

interest

This lady takes more than an interest ,she cooked burgers and sausages for twenty hungry heli flyers in the pouring rain on Sunday. Thanks again Caz.

.
It seemed like Futaba had a lot of loose antennas a few years ago. I like the radio, but I had a couple of new ones that were poorly installed from the factory.

.

I might not be very good, but I'm fun to watch.

Glad to say that this one was firmly attatched.

But if i am ever in your area i will gladly show you how its done (sorry for the delay in answering have been busy with my heli since the last posting )
