Hi all.

This is my first effort at aerial photography/videograpy. With a lot of help from this forum, I decided to climb into the project with everything I had. As a result I have managed to substantially deplete my bank account but think that I have landed up with quite a professional setup. The photos of the actaul camera ship are slightly out of date, (in that you can't see the zoom servo on the video camera, my still photo camera setup or the video transmitter aerial) but all in all, the ship still looks pretty much the same. Check out my first decent aerial pics taken on Friday, (be gentle on me :-) ) I am still working on some small vibration problems but all in all I am very excited about the progress. The machine is a, (rather radically) modified Vario Benzin. I have the following features on my camera setup.

- Full pan/tilt functionality
- Vibration isolation
- Zoom in/out functionality
- Camera shutter trigger
- AV Transmission to a ground station, (500m range)

The camera is a 5Mp Cannon G5..

Most people that I have shown it to are very impressed with the design and the finish. The true results are yet to be seen however, (client approval). I am practically ready to get into the market now. All that is left is insurance cover...

Let me know what you think..

Hey mfouche. Yes it is. It seems to be getting around. It has given me no problems so far. I have recommended it to a couple of interested people.

Hi

The setup looks great, the proof is in the pudding so to speak, with a good advertising scheme and some recommendations you should do well.

The only thing I'd do is add a little colour or part canopy for ease of orientation at higher altitudes.

Wish you the best of luck. Now get back to taking more pictures and show us your results.

You will love Kevins mounts!

Hey!
We have an origonal G5 Gimble from Rotokraft. Our design was one specifically designed with air retracts and 360 pan/tilt. We LOVE this camera mounting system and kevin rocks as far as support and detail oriented designs.

Keep in touch with us. We will post pictures soon. apparently have to wait until mondays...

Thanks Daggit and Lee. I have been working on some small issues and let me tell you, the results are just getting better and better. I am really excited. I am just in the process of insuring the business and developing the website. I will let you all know when it is up and running. There will be some great info on it.

Dave. I am very keen to see your machine. Kevin told me about the design that he had built for you. Post pics as soon as you can. Alternatively donate $20 to the forum and you can post whenever you want. For all the help the forum has given me, I paid it willingly. Let me know as soon as you post the pics, (today being Monday, I will look a bit later), alternatively email them me at:
