Engines Plugs Mufflers Fuel > YS61STII Fuel line plumbing setup

I am installing a new YS61 in my Fury. It is replacing my OS61. Does anyone have a suggested fuel line setup for refueling? I will have a header tank in the system as well. I have heard of people using clamps and T's to fill and/or vent the system after each flight. I am not sure where to start or how a clean YS fuel line setup should look like from the pickup line to the motor. Pics or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I use a T filter (Kalt) to do the refueling and a
simple plastic T in the cvalve->tank line
that is the vent.

KSJ makes p/n738 fuel cutoff valve w/ cap
which is handy.

Thanks, I will pick up some T's locally and see if I can find a T-filter. Do I need any line clamps?

Yes.

I use the black Kalt fuel clamps and the
2 of the KSJ clamp/cap combo.

the Kalt is used between the filter and carb.
The KSJ clamps off the vent line and the
refuel line on the filter T. You could use
just one depending on the physical plumbing
layout.

Thanks for all the info. I got the YS setup! Now all I have to do is break it in.

I used two JR filter Ts on my set-up so that I could get to both the fuel and pressure lines on the same side of the heli. It really helps when fueling and releasing pressure.

Here's a pic;

I use a Kalt clamp on the line from the fuel side T (blue) to the fuel nipple. Its under the yellow main tank to header tank line in the pic. Its the only clamp needed. The two output ends of the Ts have some spare ball links in them. I think they are Kyosho. They fit very tight. When fueling I can hook up an overflow bottle to the pressure line to collect fuel instead of spilling it to the ground or trying to watch for it. When fueling and after a flight I engage the Kalt clamp to prevent pressure from forcing fuel into the regulator then I pull the pressure side ball link to release. When fueling I remove both links. The clamp again prevents fuel from going into the regulator and forces the fuel to take the T into the header and main tanks.

Hope this helps,
Mike
