Just been down my LHS to buy a copy of G2 and they only have the TX version with the gameport interface.

I really wanted the USB version!!!

Will the gameport version work ok with XP?

yes it will but

Yes the game port interface will work with XP, but I would recommend you hold out for the USB port controller version. It is nicer.

I've heard of numerous problems w/ the USB
controller like simple static discharge will wipe
it and your PCs USB port out.

Be careful.

is made to hot swap it out. so i doubt any static will pop the port. just touch your computer case before plugging it in and out.

Also, in true Windows fashion, I unplugged a
USB printer 'hot' and instant BSOD

The Mac was unfazed

It works!!!!!

Installed G2 Saturday made sure i updated the product version before even trying to run it & hey presto!!! It worked.

It was made more complex due to the fact that i was sold the deluxe version & G2 as an update..

Must say im very impressed with it, i can now hold a stable hover and have just started circling around.
