I assume you took those pictures before the storm? The vid on the thunderstorm looks like it did a lot of dammage. Did it eventually clear up? Or is this storm going to hang around for all four days of the event? Man, I hope not.

It is again clear with blue skies right now (6 PM). The storm tracked through from around 2PM to 5PM.

I am out here also. I'll make sure to replace my ugly face with Tim's ugly face in as many pictures as I can.

And THANK YOU sooo much for posting WMV format as well... I never got that damn Quicktime Running. I had to do a root canal to remove the non-working remanants of it back off my machine.

The videos are excellent. That was a nasty storm. I'm hoping that most of those Easy-Ups that were topless were done by the owners before the storm. Otherwise.....bummer.

The storm was pretty violent and it lasted a long time !! No damage to our stuff, but we were lucky there must have been 20 canopies torn apart..!!

Hopefully no repeat tomorrow...

Still managed to get 6 flights in so not all bad.

Cheers

Chris

The guy that was in the crapper when it blew over should be responsible for cleanning the mess. You know the saying. "Last one to use it is responsible for cleanup."

I am sitting here at tghe picnic tables (under the canopy for shade) at IRCHA watching all the people on the flight line.

Yesterday's weather has had no impact on this fun fly so far today. They say there may some isolated thunderstorms later on today, but so far everything looks fine.

All the major heli manufacturers and vendors are here, and then some. It is noon here and they are getting ready for the noon demos, where all the top pilots demo whatever it is they are going to demo. After the demos they will have drag races and some other scheduled events.

So, I am going to log off the Internet.......if you haven't seen this event, it is well worth it.

Best Regards, Dario
