Keep It Cool - Lasts For Many Months

Air never gets to the glue. The screw piston will drive any hardened glue right out of the teflon tip. This system takes the hassle out of dealing with CA glue (it's always ready). Before this product it seemed like every time I grabbed for the glue it was no good or the tip was clogged.

This product is used in the dental business.
They tried selling it to hobby shops but it didn't move very well.

Here is the online link to the product.

given that it's $10-12 + whatever S/H
for 12 grams, thats not suprising.

it'll end up costing about 3x what Zap
costs.

It lasts all year and you do not need a pin to get it going. Very handy when you need it.

Thanks for the info Mark. I like the idea that it does not dry brittle and would sand better. The tip looks like you could get the glue into a lot of places that a normal bottle of glue wouldnt.

They use it in the dental business? That figures. I've got a bridge for my upper 3 front teeth. The facing fell off of one of them sometime ago, fortunately I recovered it intact immediately. Stuck it in my pocket and went to a dentists office and he reglued it with some whitish looking stuff. Went back unto the ship I was working on at the time and we headed out to sea. Well wouldn't you know it, that sucker came off the next day, once again I didn't lose or damage the piece. So I'm thinging, heck this is going to be uncomfortable for a few weeks. I think about it for awhile and say to myself, what the heck lets give it a try. Take my dremel which I happened to have with me and proceed to carefully clean the adhesive off of it as fell as the supporting frame in my mouth. That was quite a show for the crew members, watching me go at my mouth with a dreme. Anyways I glued it back on with some CA. Do you know that was 12-13yrs ago and it's still hasn't come off. Maybe that dentist should have used some of that CA.

I lost my infamous tag line.

You really used cyanide glue in your mouth?

I guess you weren't aware of the fact
that the original developed use of CA glue was
in military field hospitals. To literally
glue the skin back together instead of
stitches.

Hmm, I thought it was developed while looking for a way to splice fibre optic cables together. At least that's what I read somewhere. So you are saying it's just fine to get CA in your mouth or otherwise inside your body? I don't think I'm gonna test that one.

Kids, don't try this at home.

Use on mucous membranes not fun.

However, "z" is correct. The stuff that's used in surgical techniques as a substitute for sutures has different QC procedures, of course.

Next time you cut yourself on the hand (accidentally, of course) with an Xacto blade, give the super-thin CA a try. I use it as a Band-Aid substitute all the time. DON'T use Zip Kicker...you'll be VERY sorry...heat's up really quick.... Did it by accident one day when I dropped a glob of slow CA on my finger, and then used a kicker....the blood blister that formed perfectly inside the glue sphere rose up like a miniature volcano...and about as hot WHEW!

It'll even work to stop active minor bleeding of those nicks and cuts.

We use dermabond in the ER a lot. It has been approved also in skin closure for some surgery (heart bypass graft surgery) and studies have even shown lower infection rates.
If you use CA at home (and my malpractice carrier wants me to make sure you know I am not advocating it) make sure the wound is clean and dry. It will heat up as it cures (the dermabond does also). Do not use neosporin or other ointments or lotions or petroleum jelly as this disolves CA. Also make sure your tetnus booster is up to date.
